On 20th October 2007, the cast & crew performed alongside the maestro himself, Richard O’Brien & the original Magenta, Patricia Quinn.  There is surely no greater honour for, or testament to the quality of a Tribute Act than to perform with THE ORIGINAL ARTISTES

In The Beginning:

After his acclaimed performance as Meat Loaf on ITV’s ‘Stars In Their Eyes’ Terry extensively toured the UK and Europe, during which time many audiences began to demand the inclusion of the character ‘Eddie’ played by Meat in the The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Sharman, J. 1975).

For a time, this saw Terry including the song ‘Hot Patootie – Bless My Soul’ within his Meet Loaf sets.  The reaction, particularly amongst the fans of ‘Rocky’ was infectious.  This developed further as audiences went on to request ‘The Timewarp’, ‘Sweet Transvestite’ and ‘Eddie’s Teddy’ (O’Brien, R. 1971-5).  As the inclusion of the above songs grew, Terry’s various female singers became involved in the vocals.  The next logical step became irresistible; create a full tribute to ‘The Rocky Horror Show’.  A flexible cast of stunning vampettes and sweet transvestites were recruited to pay tribute to the other characters from the original production.

This show combines Terry’s impressive vocal range, power, and versatility with his haunting resemblance to the original hit maker “Out of Hell”. After many Years of singing music from pop to rock, from ballads to show-stoppers and light opera, in 1994 he realised that combining voice and appearance was Becoming irresistible as audiences demanded songs by Meat Loaf.

In preparation for his application and subsequent appearance on Granada TV; at Raffles Night-Club on a HOT SUMMER NIGHT in Bournemouth, Meet Loaf was born. Since then Terry has appeared at venues throughout the U.K., Europe and the Middle East. (See right for what the press say!)

The show is available as a solo 1 hour or 2 x 45 minute impersonation act that may be enhanced by the addition of up to three highly acclaimed and talented professional female support vocalists, whom also also provide support within his other Tribute Shows. All of this can be further enhanced by booking him with his 100% LIVE BAND.

Your guests will be transported to a world of make-believe. In academic research undertaken at The University of Winchester in 2005, participants in a survey were asked a number of questions about Terry’s Meat Loaf tribute show that they saw. One of these was:

“During the performance, did you at anytime (even
if it was a split second) feel as though you were
watching Meat Loaf?”

Grease - THE ROKKY HORROR SHOW – THE COMMITMENTS MEETS MOTOWN & SOUL - THE BLUES BROTHERS

Each of these tributes can be booked in their own right, and ALL with 100% Live band or digital playback.

Uniquely they can be combined to create a varied FULL NIGHT’S entertainment package that we call “A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES”. This show features the very best music and visual images from classic musical films in a live show. The key feature of all of Terry’s shows is that he acts as both performer and compare to create a fully self contained show bursting with audience participation, and authentic vocal impersonations that recreate the original artistes live before your eyes. Precisely what Tribute shows should do.

Terry will open the show and warm the audience, get them singing and clapping along to the first few numbers. He’ll move on to sing some songs as if the real artiste were in the room on the night, whilst monitoring the audience to see how they are reacting, changing songs and using additional material (from Elvis to Classic Rock n Roll and Party Music) to keep the audience engaged and happy; this from the serious ardent fan, to the person who simply wants to be entertained. He can also steer a show towards involving a special audience member on their birthday, anniversary etc. All shows (1, 2 or 3 sets available) are structured to work with the audience moving from quietly enjoying the spectacle, singing along, on towards getting up and dancing the night away.

Terry has taught across all age ranges from school years through to middle aged performers. From singers who wish to improve their range and stamina to beginners who wish to maximise the quality of their performance because they are entering a competitive environment, and students that simply wish to learn and develop new song and singing styles. His approach in recognising the individual’s requirements is geared heavily towards allowing the student to discover WHO THEY ARE ON STAGE thus helping to remove fear, loathing and anxiety from the performance. One of the fundamental secrets of Terry’s commercial success is that through his identifying various characters or masks to perform behind, he became free to express his voice and persona on stage. This, albeit a commercial coaching practice, is nonetheless the essential gift that Terry’s students will receive. The barriers to learning will be lifted, and the student can fly knowing who they truly are on stage.
